AI Stats & Activity

This page covers the two core observability features. Daily Level and Pet Companion, which used to live here, now have their own pages — see Daily Level and Pet Companion.

Every running AI terminal — Codex, Claude Code, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, Kiro CLI, CodeWhale, Agy, and the next driver-based tools — reports live status to Codux. The moment a turn finishes, three things light up at once:

  • The tab indicator on the affected terminal
  • The project tile in the project switcher
  • A desktop system notification

You stop watching the cursor blink and start using the time the AI is working.

Codux records token usage from each session and rolls them up:

  • By tool / model / worktree / project — see exactly where your tokens went
  • Daily and trend views — spot anomalies, compare today against a typical day
  • One-click session restore — rehydrate any past session back into its original tool, ready to continue

Stats are stored locally in the Codux app data directory. Nothing leaves the workstation unless you configure an AI provider, run a CLI that calls its own cloud service, or explicitly opt in to mobile pairing.

  • Title bar: live status dot + token counter for the active session
  • AI panel (⌘Y): full stats with filters and export
  • Project switcher: project tiles light up while AI is mid-turn
