Homebrew on macOS
Section titled “Homebrew on macOS”brew install --cask duxweb/tap/coduxUpgrade later:
brew updatebrew upgrade --cask coduxDirect download
Section titled “Direct download”- Open GitHub Releases.
- Download the desktop package for your platform.
- Install and launch Codux with the normal flow for your system.
Bypass the macOS unsigned-app warning
Section titled “Bypass the macOS unsigned-app warning”On macOS, Codux may be blocked on first launch if the downloaded package is not notarized:
“Cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified.”
Two ways to clear it:
sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Codux.appOr open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click Open Anyway next to the Codux warning.
System requirements
Section titled “System requirements”- macOS desktop release or Windows 11 desktop release
- One or more local AI CLIs installed separately, such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, and Kiro CLI
